xaisha bailey a.k.a. zay monae is a south los angeles raised creative who is passionate about capturing the art within people. She is of african american and mexican descent and strives to document authentic experiences from both cultures while finding ways of supporting individuals in need.
zay's first experience with cameras started as early as 8 years old. she became enamored with the ability of storytelling and started diving into photography professionally in high school by starting with photographing headshots, senior photos, and champagne parties for fellow classmates. zay eventually earned her bachelor's degree at csu dominguez hills in digital media arts in 2018. all of her work has been rooted from her heart and has created a great world of wonder and opportunities. overall, zay’s main goal with every shoot is to help individuals heal through her art and find ways to inspire others on a global scale.
